Corona in Germany: RKI reports number of cases – incidence reaches new high

The RKI publishes the corona case numbers for Germany. On Friday, the incidence of new infections nationwide reached a new high.

Frankfurt – The number of new corona infections transmitted to the Robert Koch Institute within one day has reached a high again. According to the RKI, the health authorities reported 76,414 cases in 24 hours on Friday morning (November 26, 2021).

Exactly one week ago there were 52,970 new infections recorded. The RKI gave the seven-day incidence at 438.2 – also a maximum. For comparison: on Thursday (November 25th, 2021) the corona value was 419.7, a week ago it was 340.7 (previous month: 113.0). This is evident from the numbers that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 03:32 a.m.

The case numbers of the RKI can differ from those of the individual federal states. One reason for this is the longer transmission routes between the RKI and the responsible health authorities. The RKI’s Covid-19 dashboard can also be adjusted during the day.

Corona in Germany: RKI reports case numbers – 357 deaths recorded

According to the new information, 357 deaths were recorded across Germany within 24 hours. A week ago there were 201 deaths. The RKI has counted 5,650,170 detected infections with Sars-Cov-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.

The RKI stated the number of those who had recovered on Friday at 4,775,300. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-Cov-2 rose to 100,476.

Corona case numbers: Hospitalization incidence in Germany rises to 5.79

The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days was given by the RKI on Thursday as 5.79 (Wednesday: 5.74). The value plays an essential role in assessing the occurrence of the infection.
