From March, the corona rules in Germany will be relaxed. There are also legal changes for consumers.
Berlin – In March, the corona rules will be relaxed nationwide. Various legal innovations are therefore coming into force in Germany. Some of them relate to combating the corona pandemic* and result from federal and state decisions. However, there are also some innovations for consumers.
From March 15th comes the facility-related vaccination requirement. Employees who work in the health and care sector must then prove their corona vaccination. The rule also affects employees of day clinics, rescue services, medical practices and socio-educational centers. This partial vaccination obligation is intended to protect particularly vulnerable groups.

Nationwide relaxation of the corona rules from March: 3G rule in the catering trade
In gastronomy and in hotels, the 3G rule will apply again from March 4th. The federal and state governments had agreed on this during a top-level corona round in mid-February. Accordingly, those who have recovered, those who have been vaccinated and people with a daily negative corona test have access. For visits to discotheques and clubs, however, even stricter access rules apply.
All far-reaching measures to protect the corona pandemic will apply throughout Germany from March 20th, as the federal and state governments decided at their meeting. The home office obligation for employees will then also expire. However, companies can still continue to offer the model.

Corona rules are relaxed: From March 20th only basic protective measures
After March 20th, only the so-called basic protection measures should apply*. These include, for example, the obligation to wear masks and distance rules. However, details still have to be clarified.
A lot is also changing in consumer protection. A change in the law will take effect on March 1st. This is intended to give consumers better protection against extensions of certain contracts. For example, the notice period for fitness studios that are closed after the reference date is reduced to a maximum of one month. In addition, magazine subscriptions can only be tacitly renewed for an indefinite period if customers have a maximum notice period of one month, as reported by AFP. However, this change only applies to new contracts.
Relaxation of the Corona rules in Germany from March: Public lobbyist register
There has been a public lobbyist register for the Bundestag and the federal government since the beginning of the year. This will be activated on March 1st. If representatives of companies, associations, organizations and clubs are not registered, they face a fine of up to 50,000 euros.
Contact details and clients are given there. In addition, it must be noted what financial effort is made for the respective interest group. The register can be found at lobbyregister.bundestag.de. (Samira Müller with AFP) *fr.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA
