The death of a young person in the Bautzen district is a violent crime – that much is clear. So far, however, there have been more questions than answers about the exact course of events.
Großröhrsdorf – After the violent death of a 16-year-old in the small town of Großröhrsdorf in the Bautzen district on Wednesday, the manhunt focused on the area around those killed.
Forces of the homicide squad, the police and forensic technicians were at the scene on Thursday and searched it for possible leads. “We are currently looking for the suspect in the vicinity of those killed,” said a police spokesman.
Neighbors would also be interviewed. “We have received numerous tips from the population, which we are now investigating,” said the spokesman. A male suspect has been searched for since Wednesday. The police are currently not giving any information about the possible perpetrator. So far he is still on the run, it was said on Thursday evening.
The exact course of events and a possible motive are still unclear. So far, the police have only announced that a witness reportedly reported a seriously injured young woman in the area of a garage complex in Großröhrsdorf on Wednesday afternoon. The officers found the youngsters there. Paramedics and ambulance reanimated the 16-year-old and took her to the hospital, where she later died. “The fact is: it is a violent crime. Everything else is the subject of the investigation, “said the police spokesman.
Several media reported that the youth had been attacked with a knife. There was also speculation about a possible quarrel with the wanted man. The police have not yet confirmed this.
On Thursday, paint markings were seen in front of the garage complex in front of which the 16-year-old was apparently found. Police officers walked through the city equipped with snow shovels, searched garbage cans and took photos of a house. Several police vehicles were parked on the side of the road. “We are on site with numerous forces and investigate until we have found the culprit,” said the spokesman. dpa
