The fine line that divides the automotive segments has been blurred with the latest launches. The Munich show has opened its doors and will exhibit, until next September 12 , with an endless number of electrical proposals of all kinds. The modularity of these platforms, along with combustion, allows for a number of variations in design and size never seen before. The new Dacia Jogger , the familiar exponent of the Romanian firm officially presented at said German meeting, uses the CMF B platform also used for the Sandero and its Stepway variant . However, we are facing a much larger body and with a better habitability than that of a seven-seater SUV. As is usual in the low cost brand , the coherence, functionality and material adjustments, lead it to be able to offer a really interesting car from 15,000 euros .
But the new Dacia Jogger is not only about price, it will also debut a hybrid powertrain in 2022 . It will be a wireless electrified system that will have 140 hp of power and will be able to circulate 80% of urban time in zero emissions mode, or so the firm has commented. For now, we will have a new gasoline engine of 110 hp and 220 Nm of torque and the well-known EcoG , which can run on liquefied petroleum gas or gasoline.
It is difficult to center the Dacia Jogger segment, since the firm has known how to play very well with its aesthetics to give it a crossover air. It has a considerable height from the ground (200 mm) and its silhouette has details such as the protected wheel arches or the roof bars , which can also be placed transversely in just one minute . It will be marketed in three trim levels: Essential, Comfort and a limited version with an even more rustic feel. The obvious question is this: What will happen to the Dacia wagon models? The Lodgy will continue to be manufactured and marketed in Morocco , and for another year in Spain , but for the Dokker and Logan the future seems to be the cancellation of their production.
