Dancing Rabbit Golf Club en el Pearl River Resort.

Dancing Rabbit Golf Club is nestled in the hills in the heart of east-central Mississippi. Part of the Pearl River Resort in the ancestral lands of the Choctaw Indian band of Mississippi, Dancing Rabbit Golf Club is home to two world-class golf courses: the Azaleas and the Oaks. Both are award-winning, par-72 courses; both are more than 7,000 yards away from the championship jerseys; both offer five different sets of jerseys and therefore can accommodate golfers of all skill levels; and both are the brainchild of the fertile imaginations of Tom Fazio and Jerry Pate.

It’s been a while since I last played Dancing Rabbit. But that’s okay, because sometime this fall I’ll do it again. I’ll tell you this too: Dancing Rabbit is a destination you’ll never forget. Combined, the two courses span more than 700 acres with about five miles of meandering spring-fed creeks and creeks to confront along the way. The two undulating designs encompass an area of exquisite natural beauty, unspoiled wetlands and ancient forests. Both courses feature green Bentgrass A4 sheets.

The Oaks has Zoysia streets while the Azaleas have Bermuda streets.

Neither of these two beautiful courses is easy to play (the fairways are narrow at times, the landing areas are not generous, and the greens are not the easiest to read), but they are a real treat. There is an overwhelming sense of calm and tranquility that transcends even the most difficult round. And the all-encompassing beauty of these ancient lands is sometimes, well, distracting, in the best possible way.

So here you have two impressive, award-winning courses, par 72, Azaleas and Oaks, both over 7,000 yards when you play from the back jerseys, both with five different jersey sets to accommodate each level of play. Over 700 acres of some of the best real estate with over five miles of meandering spring-fed streams in a setting of incredible natural beauty. Virtually every hole in Dancing Rabbit is a work of art. The greens are Champion Bermuda grass on the Oaks course and A-4 Bent grass on the Azaleas.

This, along with Zoysia streets on Oaks and Bermuda streets in the Azaleas, is an exceptional gaming platform. Better yet, both courses are the work of the inimitable Tom Fazio along with the great Jerry Pate of the PGA. Dancing Rabbit Golf Club is the jewel in the crown of the Pearl River Resort. Pearl River is an indoor Casino Resort – a dazzling world within a world where days are long, warm, and calm. However, when the sun goes down, the resort turns into a fiery kaleidoscope of light and color. The marriage between the golf club and the resort casino was an inspiration. It is the perfect place for a golf vacation with benefits, or the best corporate getaway.
