Deep "Wolfgang" keeps parts of Germany cold

Clouds, fog, rain, a bit of snow in the high altitudes and occasionally temperatures around freezing point. Everything is included in the low “Wolfgang”. But “Walpurga” is slowly announcing itself.

Offenbach – Tief “Wolfgang” brings cool air, rain and some snow from the Baltic Sea to Germany at the start of the week. At the same time, the sun shines in the north and north-west for a long time on Monday, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD).

Showers could fall on the North Sea coast, and this also applies to the other regions of the country. According to the meteorologists, it is initially very cloudy there, sometimes foggy. Rain falls in certain areas, and snow could fall at high altitudes. According to the weather service, maximum temperatures range between zero degrees in high altitudes and nine degrees on the coasts.

On Tuesday, the high Walpurga is slowly working its way from the Atlantic to Central Europe. In the night of Tuesday, however, precipitation must first be expected in the north, also in the direction of the Alps, and snow could fall above 700 meters. In the middle of the republic it remains slightly cloudy or clear and dry. Temperatures are between four and minus four degrees, according to the DWD.

During the day, thick clouds appear in the north and south. The experts say that it is raining locally. In the middle, however, the weather will be rather serene and dry. Maximum values should then be between two and ten degrees.

In the night of Wednesday, clouds gather in the north and in the vicinity of the Alps, it is also said from Offenbach. Mostly it stays dry. The lowest values are therefore between zero and minus six degrees. During the day it remains very cloudy in the north, there is little risk of rain on the coasts. Stubborn fog lingers on the Danube, they say.

From the southern Black Forest via Middle Franconia to the Bavarian Forest and on the higher edge of the Alps, however, the sun shines from time to time. According to the meteorologists, the maximum values are between one degree on the Danube and ten degrees on the North Sea islands. dpa
