Leipzig – At a demonstration in Leipzig on Monday evening (December 13th, 2021) riots broke out. According to a police spokeswoman on Tuesday, participants set fire to garbage cans and damaged cars. Window panes on a mosque were also smashed. In addition, stones and paint bags were thrown at a police car and pyrotechnics were ignited.

According to the authorities, the forces identified several possible suspects. However, the officials did not initially provide any further details.
