The RKI once again reports infections with Corona in the six-digit range. Despite the high number of cases, there are protests all over Germany again.
Update from Sunday, February 13th, 2022, 2:19 p.m .: Because of the ongoing corona measures in Germany, numerous people across the country took to the streets again this weekend (February 12th/13th, 2022). According to the police, the protests remained largely peaceful. Counter-demonstrators were also on the move in many places.
The largest crowds were around 7,500 people in Reutlingen and around 7,000 people in Düsseldorf. Further demonstrations with thousands of participants took place in Augsburg, Freiburg, Berlin and Osnabrück. There are minor incidents, such as in Reutlingen. There the police have to take a man away. In addition, in some cities, the police had to break up undeclared protests.
In Brandenburg an der Havel and Cottbus, for example, demonstrators had gathered without authorization – in many cases corona rules, such as the obligation to wear a mask, were disregarded. A Corona demo has been registered in Göttingen for Monday (February 13, 2022): The police are appealing to all participants.
