Digital Theater presents in June the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Teatro Mayor Dance Company

June begins with “Even the night itself is here”, the new work by the Teatro Mayor Dance Company, with choreography and direction by Sarah Storer. Tú Rockcito will take the digital stage, followed by the Longueuil Symphony Chamber Orchestra.

Digital Theater begins its June broadcasts with the Julio Mario Santo Domingo Teatro Mayor Dance Company and its new play “Even the night itself is here .” This large-format production is directed and choreographed by the English Sarah Storer, artistic director of the company.

This piece will be available from June 3 to 10 on the Great Shows strip. In it, the Company investigates how space affects human relationships, not only with others , but with each other; how proximity to others affects our mind and body, and how the relationship of various bodies in a space makes them act, interact and define their coexistence.

From June 10 to 17, the group Tú Rockcito will arrive on the platform with recharged “We are noisy”, a show full of energy, rock and games as part of the Lo Nuestro season. This concert will also feature some of the band’s most recognizable songs.

(We recommend: BJ Thomas, singer of “Raindrops keep falling on my head” dies).

Tú Rockcito was born in 2009, inspired by working with children and a passion for rock. His music proposal for children and adults mixes sung stories, musical games and a visual proposal that ranges from animation to interaction.

Under the baton of violinist and conductor Alexander Da Costa, the Longueuil Symphony Chamber Orchestra presents Stradivarius à Vienne at the Digital Theater, a broadcast that will be available from June 17 to 24.

With this celebration of the magic of the era of Vienna’s great dances, Da Costa offers an enchanting program of these unforgettable waltzes, such as “The Blue Danube” and “The Emperor’s Waltz”, without forgetting the “Polka Tritsch Tratsch” and the joyous “Rondo de Mozart”.

The interpretation of these mythical pieces by Da Costa and the Longueuil Symphony Chamber Orchestra is faithful to the great Viennese tradition and is based on the centuries-old experience of the Wiener Symphoniker. This broadcast is part of the Canada Country Guest of Honor 2021 season, organized together with the Embassy of that country in Colombia and with the support of Air Canada and Gran Tierra Energy.

The month will culminate its programming with the National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia and the transmission of Pacífico Sinfónico, a concert that will be on the platform from June 24 to July 1, as part of the Armonía Sura strip.

The National Symphony Orchestra of Colombia will spread the music of the Pacific and will recognize a region that has suffered countless challenges but is the owner of enormous wealth, especially its culture in all its manifestations. The Cauca, Atrato, San Juan rivers and the entire Colombian Pacific basin, marimbas, cununos, guasás and the traditional songs of its people inspired the symphonic Pacific.
