Within companies, one of the work areas that has maintained its practices without much innovation is that of human resources, since they carry out repetitive tasks that could well be solved through technological tools that automate processes, in addition to finding the best talent human.
According to data from Worky, a human resources startup based on the cloud to improve the management of SMEs, 80% of the time of these teams is used in repetitive tasks that could be optimized, such as registering collaborators, processing vacation requests or distributing payroll receipts.
The use of technological tools, says Maya Dadoo, CEO of Worky, can “free up to 40% of the time of the teams”, which has a positive impact within companies, since “the system is not tied to the operation, but rather to the creation of better strategic initiatives for the integration and communication of the different areas ”.
In addition, the use of technology has a favorable impact on avoiding high turnover within companies, which is one of its great problems. As an example of this is that of the 20 million people work in SMEs in Mexico, 60% rotate annually.
“Companies recruit and train their collaborators, but then they leave and it is something that does not allow SMEs to grow,” says Dadoo, who also points out that the first 90 days of an employee are key, since it is the period in which its permanence is marked.
After that period, he explains, other strategies can be implemented based on the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies, such as data analysis to identify a person’s performance and from there propose salary increases for those who have favored their productivity. .
On the other hand, Dadoo mentioned that the context of the outsourcing reform in the country is also an opportunity for companies to initiate a transition to digital in administrative areas, since the modifications required by this new legislation can increase them 30 or even one 60% your payroll expenses.
Likewise, it points out that there is ignorance within corporations regarding how to carry out the procedure that the law indicates, so through alliances with other technological initiatives they can help business leaders to, for example, calculate payroll in a more optimal way.
Dadoo also highlighted that in the context of the pandemic, the use of technologies was significant, as it favored the development of remote collaborators, generated a better culture within the work teams and even allowed the generation of a more punctual management of talent and skills. payroll.
In this regard, Pepe Villatoro, Expansion leader of the Deel management platform, comments that his company has also generated proposals, the purpose of which is to hire personnel from other countries without the billing of payroll being a problem, since the platform allows them optimize information gathering.
“To create the best team, you have to find the best talent and it is not just around the corner from your office. Therefore, you must hire people in their countries ”, concludes Villatoro, who highlights that the best companies in the immediate future will be those that give their workers freedom from the use of technology.
