Do not go off "the tongue": New preview of "Spiral: Saw"

Fans of the gore Saw horror saga are in luck. The franchise is restarted after Saw VIII did not achieve the expected results in 2017. Now, four years later, the Spiral: Saw project renews its cast of participants, focusing much more on the story in the police investigation, that is, getting closer to the genre of the thriller. Far from containing only this to the fans, the production company Lionsgate has released a preview with a complete scene of the film that will be released in just two weeks in our country. This 3 and a half minute presentation is not for all audiences. In it we can anticipate what will surely be a movie full of tension and violence, so if you are not familiar with the saga, it is better to prepare in advance. The scene follows in the footsteps of Detective Marv Boswick, played by Dan Petronijevic who searches for clues in the subway of what looks like a new Jigsaw. The agent suddenly finds himself in the middle of a nightmarish trap in which his tongue and life are at stake. It is still too early to know if this new murderer is a direct disciple like many other imitators were or is someone simply related to his style. At the moment we know that he has something personal with the chief detective of the police station, murdering his companions and subordinate police officers. Spiral: Saw will try to revitalize a saga that even for the most staunch fans was somewhat lost. But on the contrary, if this scene is a clear example of what the film will be, it seems that the production will regain its original freshness thanks to the new traps, characters and that disturbing tone that surrounds the new villain. This reboot seems to respect the references of the original saga (although to Chris Rock they seem insufficient) but contributing some of the detective / thriller touch that can hook the audience again. The surprising decision of a comedy actor like Chris Rock to star in the story reveals a certain bravery of the production and a clear commitment to change certain aspects of the genre. The investigation is joined by actors of the stature of Max Minghella and Samuel L. Jackson, the latter being the former police father of the protagonist, Chris Rock.
