WhatsApp is the main instant messaging application worldwide, with billions of users using it daily, and that means that all the time you must keep innovating your content to remain attractive and adapt to new demands. There are multiple functions, do you know where the WhatsApp statuses are saved?
In that search, some time ago its developers introduced WhatsApp statuses, something like Instagram stories but taken to the messaging company , so that anyone could share with their contacts some content that is deleted after 24 hours.
And although there are not many people who, judging by the experience of each one of us, take advantage of the states, some of them may have found in them a way to promote their ventures , transmit thoughts, etc.
It is likely, then, that these people want to know where their own and other people’s WhatsApp statuses are stored and how to see the old ones, thus managing to manage them better.
View old WhatsApp statuses on Android with a file manager
The most recommended mechanism to view old WhatsApp statuses is to use a file manager, which we can download from the Google Play Store, such as Amaze File Manager, a recent and efficient alternative in this regard.
When you have done it, you must go to WhatsApp and see the status of the person in question, so that it is stored in a hidden folder on your device , because there is the trick.
Then you have to open Amaze File Manager, display the options menu from the 3 vertical dots on the top right, and open the “Hidden files” section, where you will notice that some unusual folders already appear, such as the one named “.Statuses” .
Precisely there, all the old WhatsApp statuses that you have viewed will be downloaded, with the exception that those that you have not yet seen in the messenger will not be displayed. You have 24 hours to copy them or pass them to your Gallery before they disappear permanently.
And what about the iPhone?
Due to its more closed spirit, the Apple operating system does not allow us to access these contents through third-party applications, but neither does it give us the possibility of doing so through its own menus and settings. However, there is still a solution to consider.
Basically, when you see a WhatsApp status that interests you, you should take a screenshot to, thereby, save the content within your phone, as a screenshot.
