Drinking milk improves memory

vaso-leche Drinking at least one glass of milk a day could have a positive effect on the brain and mental performance , according to a study published in the International Dairy Journal . Its authors, from the University of Maine (USA), found that adults who consumed more milk and dairy products had significantly higher scores on memory and brain function tests than those who drank little or no amount of this liquid.

In the experiments, the researchers subjected more than 900 men and women between the ages of 23 and 98 to a series of mental tests, such as visual-spatial, verbal memory, and working memory tests, and tracked your milk intake habits. On a series of eight different measures of mental performance, regardless of age, those who drank at least one glass of milk per day showed an advantage over others on all tests. Specifically, the results showed people who regularly drank milk were five times less likely to "fail" the tests, compared to those who did not drink milk.
