The winter weather is currently causing black ice on some roads in northern Hesse and southern Lower Saxony – the DWD has issued warnings.
Offenbach – drivers take note – it can currently be really slippery on some roads in northern Hesse and southern Lower Saxony. The German Weather Service (DWD) in Offenbach is currently warning of a risk of black ice in five districts.
According to this, motorists must reckon with severe local disabilities in road and rail traffic. "Avoid driving!", The DWD made clear in its warning message. These districts are currently affected:
- Schwalm-Eder-Kreis: The warning is initially valid until 6 p.m.
- District of Waldeck-Frankenberg: The warning is initially valid until 6 p.m.
District Northeim: The warning is initially valid until 6 p.m.
- Werra-Meißner-Kreis: The warning is initially valid until 7.30 p.m.
- District and City of Kassel: The warning is initially valid until 7.30 p.m.
