E-Transit arrives, unmatched performance for business customers

Businesses can now choose a new benchmark for productivity, value and electric vehicle ownership experience with the new all-electric E-Transit. With battery size, range, motor power and the exclusive ProPower Onboard exportable power feature, the all-electric version of the world’s best-selling cargo van offers unmatched performance for commercial customers. This capability is complemented by a higher level of standard equipment that includes Euro NCAP-recommended intelligent driver assistance and safety systems, as well as comprehensive charging support from Ford Pro Recharge and an integrated suite of Ford Pro solutions to optimize efficiency and cost of ownership.

The E-Transit is also extremely competitively priced in the market, to help accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. The new model spearheads the European launch of Ford Pro, the manufacturer’s new global sales and service business focused on enhancing the productivity of commercial vehicle customers with world-class vehicles and cutting-edge products and services.

“The E-Transit is a quantum leap for commercial vehicle operators. Its all-electric powertrain, solvent capability and integrated ecosystem of Ford Pro support will streamline customers’ businesses and boost their productivity when they switch to all-electric fleets.” , says Hans Schep , general manager of Ford Pro in Europe. “With a price designed to remove any barriers to entry, the E Transit is a really attractive proposition for European businesses,” he adds.

Indeed, following an intensive global test and development programme, Ford Pro and its partner customers across Europe are using 60 E-Transit to demonstrate the productivity benefits of electrified commercial vehicles. The first production vehicles recently rolled out of the factory in Kocaeli, Turkey, with 5,000 customer orders received before the start of production.
