It varies from six to 23 days. Most trips last between 11 and 17 days. The duration of the trip does not include travel days to and from your starting point.

Quick Facts About ElderTreks:

ElderTreks focuses solely on adventure travel. The difficulty of the journey ranges from “easy” – walking a mile or two, perhaps with a few stairs – to “challenging” – eight to 10 hours of walking per day. If you have mobility issues, please contact the ElderTreks office to find out if an ElderTreks trip is right for you.

ElderTreks is committed to sustainable travel and giving back to the communities that its visitors visit. ElderTreks built an orphanage in Uganda and supports orphanages and shelters for women in several countries. His latest charitable effort includes various efforts to help save the critically endangered Sumatran rhino.

Almost all expenses, except airfare to and from the starting point of your tour, are included in the tour price, but you will need to check the itinerary of each trip for more details.

All land tours are small group tours with a maximum of 16 participants.

Small expedition boats are used for sea and river excursions.

ElderTreks offers tours created especially for hikers, as well as adventures on land and by boat. Destinations include Canada, Europe, Asia, Central America, South America, Africa, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea.

Many ElderTreks destinations do not have luxury hotels or chain restaurants. ElderTreks works hard to find accommodations that are welcoming and comfortable. On rare occasions, you may need to share bathroom facilities in a particular location, but ElderTreks asks tour participants to do this only if private bathroom facilities are not available. Detailed tour itineraries on the ElderTreks website include information on restroom facilities if sharing is required.

ElderTreks can organize your flights if you wish, but you can also make your own travel arrangements.

The ElderTreks ClubTrek Rewards program offers regular customer discounts.

ElderTreks offers travel insurance for US and Canadian tour participants only. All travelers are strongly advised to consider purchasing travel insurance. You must purchase medical evacuation insurance on some itineraries.

Special policies apply for US, British and Canadian citizens traveling to Iran with ElderTreks.

If you want to go to the South Pole with ElderTreks, you can. Start saving your money, however; the trip costs $ 48,150.
