Entrepreneurs promote campaign to build a country in the midst of the crisis

Through the numeral #PorUnaMejorColombiaYo, members of the Endeavor organization seek to disseminate proposals to contribute to social change through entrepreneurship.

In the last week, members of the network of entrepreneurs of Endeavor Colombia have spread an initiative on social networks under the numeral #PorUnaMejorColombiaYo . The campaign seeks to collect proposals to transform the country from the business and innovation sector.

Through this hashtag, it is expected to create a chain in which entrepreneurs, businessmen and the general public disseminate ideas and commitments on social networks of what they can do from their sectors to create a better country.

It should be remembered that Endeavor Colombia is an organization led by Camila Salamanca that supports high-impact ventures in the country.

“The intention is to receive proposals from entrepreneurs and the business community so that they are disseminated, heard and multiplied. By proposing an idea, I am committing to it and suddenly influencing the collective psychology of our community, ”says Kenneth Mendiwelson, president of the fintech Reference and a member of the Endeavor board of directors.

According to Mendiwelson, the idea came from a virtual conversation between about 100 Endeavor members about the situation in the country in the framework of the national strike. Despite the fact that there were several conflicting positions in the discussion, they reached six conclusions about their objectives in this crisis:

  1. Be empathetic with the reality of the country.
  2. Contribute as role models, directing positive messages, especially to young people.
  3. Continue working for the country generating opportunities for quality work and growth.
  4. Pay fair and decent wages that allow you to live well and achieve opportunities.
  5. Support the educational model of young people who go to work in the companies they run.
  6. Contribute to reducing informality within their value chains.

With this in mind, Mendiwelson and other figures such as Mauricio Hoyos (Puntored), Tatiana Arcila (SOS Asistencia), Ricardo Leyva (Latir), Lilian Simbaqueba (LiSim) and Tania Zapata (Akily), Alexander Torrenegra and Daniela Ávila (Torre), Among others, they shared video proposals with the numeral #PorUnaMejorColombiaYo on their social networks.

“Here the message is for young people. The intention is that they see that from entrepreneurship opportunities can be opened, that it is possible to do things well done and build big dreams ”, says the businessman.

All interested parties, even those who are not part of this network, can be part of the conversation with the number of the chain. It seeks to promote the greatest number of solutions that benefit the country without incurring political biases.
