The group of death comes to an end. The last day of this table will be exciting because all teams have options to qualify for the round of 16. Obviously, the one that has the most complicated pass is Hungary, the cinderella of a group that includes France, Germany and Portugal.
Day 3 of group F comes with France as the leader with 4 points and with Germany and Portugal second and third respectively with 3 units. Hungary , as expected, is last, but managed to scratch a point against Les Bleus, so they could have clear options to be in the round of 16.
The schedule will be unified and the two matches of group F will be played at 9:00 p.m. Portugal-France will be played at the Ferenc Puskas in Budapest , while Germany-Hungary will be played at the Allianz Arena with the UEFA ban on the display of the rainbow flag on the facade of the stadium.
A victory for France against Portugal would allow Didier Deschamps’s men to pass as first group, while if the Portuguese were the ones to win the three points they would overtake the Gauls. In the event of the latter happening, Germany could also overtake the French and they would finish above Cristiano Ronaldo’s thanks to the goal average.
In the other match, Hungary could only win to place second or third depending on the other results. In any of these cases, the Magyars would advance to the second round of the Eurocup . They will not have it easy at all because in front will be a Germany that lost the first game against France by an own goal from Hummels and the other won against Portugal with a comeback included.
