Named after the color of emergency, (RED) was founded by Bono and Bobby Shriver in 2006 to weaponize business against the AIDS pandemic. Today, that same army of companies is also fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on the world’s most vulnerable communities, giving voice to the need for a global response . In fact, the money raised by (RED) partners and campaigns goes directly to strengthening health systems and supporting life-saving programs in communities most affected by pandemics.

For this reason, Fiat has decided to create an alliance with this company to give life to a series of models with which to contribute its grain of sand in this fight. The first is the Fiat 500, an icon of the Italian ‘dolce vita’, which has joined this fight with the (500)RED special edition. Present in all the silhouettes and propulsion technologies of the 500 range, it is distinguished by the presence of the color red in exclusive details in the passenger compartment and the bodywork. It is also reflected in the Type’s Hatchback and Cross Station Wagon silhouettes. And each (Tipo)RED that is acquired is equivalent to an automatic donation to the United Nations Global Fund , which will translate into actions of prevention, treatment, training and medical attention in countries and communities in need.

The latest to arrive in the range and form part of this collaboration is the (Panda)RED, already available in Spain. What’s more, it takes care of its occupants with exclusive equipment . It has a climate control system with an air filter, treated with a highly effective biocidal substance (more than 99.9% at the time of treatment) against bacteria, avoiding the risk of aerosolization in the passenger compartment. In addition, the steering wheel and seats, high-touch surfaces, have also been treated with a highly effective biocide (up to 99.9% depending on the components) against viruses and bacteria. The model of the trunk, for its part, incorporates a long-acting anti-virus treatment. To top it off, a Welcome Kit is included, with a specially designed dispenser and a specific key cover that provides the final touch of personalization.
