Find out why Asians have slanted eyes

In the world there are many different cultures that have their own physical characteristics. In oriental culture, a predominant physical feature is the slanted eyes that are part of the physiognomy of hundreds of millions of people located, mostly in Asia. This physical feature has been studied in different ways and an attempt has been made to answer how they have these populations have come to have such a characteristic and own trait on their faces. Science has repeatedly shown that ocular bone morphology is exactly the same between Westerners and Orientals, so why are the eyes different from one area to another? According to research carried out over the last few years, this difference in slanted eyes is caused by a wrinkle found in the upper eyelid that covers the inner corner of the eye. These same studies ensure that all people are born with this crease, but Westerners lose it within a few weeks of birth. Why do Asians have slanted eyes? Based on these studies, why in Asia and certain areas of Africa and America, do we find populations with these characteristics in the eyes? In this sense, science has not agreed as to how this fold on the eyelid appeared and developed in some populations more than in others, according to the most accepted theory it was during the first great ice age, about 18 million years ago back, when these settlers adapted to their environment. At this time it was necessary to protect the eyes from UV radiation, wind and low temperatures that occurred throughout Central Asia. These settlers adapted thanks to having a narrower opening in the eyelid that developed over time and that helped them to better protect their eyes. For this reason, this characteristic of the slanted eyes is also known by the ‘Mongolian bridle’. Other interpretations In other studies carried out over the last few years, scientists of Chinese origin explain this factor by the result of a divergence in evolution of human beings over the years, as explained in this research, Asian people come from a different branch of hominids than Westerners. It would be Homo Erectus Pekinensis. The research, based on the findings of Homo Erectus Pekinensis himself in 1921, emigrated from Africa to Asia, surviving in areas of the steppe until it developed with this characteristic of its own.
