In RPGs there are often many tricks to somehow break its mechanics, from effortless gaining experience to duplicating objects in an unlimited way. And this is exactly what happened in Demon’s Souls on PS3.
As many will recall, in this revolutionary classic from From Software, there was a glitch that allowed objects to be duplicated indiscriminately from the Nexus , and the funny thing is that that bug hasn’t been fixed since. Something that has not gone unnoticed by Bluepoint Games, which had already anticipated months ago that it would eradicate this type of stratagem, while respecting the essence of the original from 2009. It is something that we have just discovered in Kotaku.
There we see how a user has tried (without luck) to replicate that famous glitch in the remake of Demon’s Souls for PS5 . And now the blacksmith Boldwin will not close the purchase conversation dialogue no matter how much we move away from him.
How to duplicate items in Demon’s Souls on PS3
But what was this glitch about ? Perhaps you are one of those who do not know or have not wanted to use it, as it had been my case until today, but it is surprising that it continues to work on PS3 after more than a decade . The trick is as follows:
- We spoke to the blacksmith Boldwin in the Nexus
- We give you to buy an object and we leave the cursor on OK
- Without pressing it, we slowly walk away to Treasurer Thomas
- If all goes well, the dialogue will be closed and Boldwin will not scold us
- With the Nexial Link equipped (a ring that they give at the beginning), we press the square button to get the message if we want to return to the Nexus
- We cut that message by pressing the Start button (do not give the X)
- Now we talk to Thomas the treasurer
- We deposit any object (preferably a Soul of a boss, since they give many souls to gain experience easily)
- We press X and quickly press the circle button several times
- Now when talking to Thomas, we will see that when it comes to picking up the deposited object, it has multiplied ostensibly
- It can be repeated as many times as we want
It is not advisable to opt for this trick, because it takes all the fun out of Demon’s Souls , but it does save many hours of farming . On PS5 you will have no choice but to forget about these kinds of traps. Have you already reserved the console?
