Formula 1 – 2021 season: broadcast on free TV, pay TV and live stream

Today is the day! The new Formula 1 season starts with the Grand Prix of Bahrain. Here at SPOX you can find out who is broadcasting the races of the 2021 season on free TV, pay TV and in the live stream.

Formula 1: When and where does the 2021 season start?

The new Formula 1 season starts this year with the Bahrain Grand Prix on Sunday 28 March at 5 p.m.

The Grand Prix in Melbourne was actually planned for the season opener, but the corona pandemic thwarted the plan. However, the World Cup fight in Australia should not be canceled, November 21 is the new date.

A total of 23 races are planned, whether it stays that way depends on the course of the corona pandemic. Last year the drivers completed 17 races. A few days ago, the motorsport premier class announced that they will also be driving in Portugal in 2021. Last year Portimao celebrated a comeback after 25 years.

The 2021 Formula 1 season should also be concluded this year at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Formula 1 – 2021 season: broadcast on free TV, pay TV and live stream

The exclusive rights for the Formula 1 season 2021 are held by Sky . At every Grand Prix, you not only see the race on the pay TV channel, but the entire race weekend including training and qualifying live and without any commercial breaks. To this end, Sky has introduced a new channel: Sky Sport Formula 1 .

But Sky is not always the only way to follow Formula 1 this year. Four races will be broadcast live on free TV on RTL . The private broadcaster is celebrating its F1 comeback and, thanks to its collaboration with Sky, is showing the Grand Prix in Imola, Barcelona, Monza and Sao Paulo. Due to the cooperation, TVNow , the streaming provider of Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland , is also available via Sky Q

Austrian motorsport fans can also watch numerous races on ORF on free TV. The public broadcaster alternates with the transmission with Servus TV . The Austrian GP will then be taken over by both providers, so both offer twelve races each.
