The four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel can build on his old successes again after moving to Aston Martin – if he removes his previous employer from his memory. At least that’s what long-time Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone believes.
“The best that he can do and what everyone can do: forget the past at Ferrari,” said the 90-year-old as a guest at AvD Motor und Sport Magazin at Sport 1 .
According to Ecclestone, Vettel’s problems at Ferrari resulted from the team’s lack of appreciation for the driver. “What many do not know: Sebastian is very sensitive, he loves to be loved,” said the long-time Formula 1 Zampano: “He no longer got that affection at Ferrari.”
