Formula 1: Silverstone is giving away tickets to Corona heroes

The Silverstone race track rewards health, military and social workers with 10,000 free tickets for their efforts in the fight against the coronavirus.

This was announced by the operator of the “Home of British Motor Racing”. The tickets are for the Formula 1 race on July 18, the MotoGP guest appearance on August 29 and the classic car event The Classic on July 30 and August 1.

“Our tickets will reach those we all owe so much to and we hope that as many as possible can join in this summer to experience live motorsport, something we have all missed over the past 12 months “said Silverstone circuit director Stuart Pringle.

The last year has been a challenge for everyone, “but especially for those who work on the front lines and risk their lives to protect our country and our people in very difficult circumstances. I hope that this gesture goes a long way helps show this community that their work is valued, “said Pringle.
