Newly released images show how close Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein were. They are said to have abused minors together.
New York – When the police searched Jeffrey Epstein’s New York property in 2019, the investigators found a safe filled with money, diamonds, passports, a massage table and CDs, hard drives and numerous pictures.
The public prosecutor’s office has now published some of these images. They show the convicted sex offender with his then partner and alleged accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. Several photos show Maxwell and Epstein kissing or hugging, riding a motorcycle together or sitting comfortably on the terrace.

The allegations against Maxwell and Epstein stand in complete contrast to the cheerful photos. From 1994 to 2004 she is said to have recruited underage girls for him and “served them for sexual abuse”. Maxwell has been in custody for 16 months. Now the trial against the Briton is underway.
Three of the photos show Ghislaine Maxwell massaging Jeffrey Epstein’s bare foot while the latter presses the foot against her chest. The recordings may have been made in Epstein’s private jet. The pictures are supposed to show how close Epstein and Maxwell were to each other. Maxwell therefore participated in sexual abuse himself.
According to the prosecutor, Maxwell should have made sure that the girls and their parents feel comfortable around the two. She normalized the sexual abuse, initially in the form of massages to Epstein, and sometimes even participated in it herself. Because these girls themselves should bring more girls for Epstein and Maxwell for money and gifts, the US judge Lara Elizabeth Pomerantz spoke of a “pyramid scheme of abuse”.

The investigators also secured a leaflet that Maxwell himself could have created and has now been revealed in court. It is written on it: “Help wanted. Are you a masseur Work from a home in Palm Beach. Excellent pay. Mainly weekends. “

Pomerantz said at the start of the process that Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were initially a couple for years and when the relationship came to an end they were “best friends.” Maxwell was therefore Epstein’s closest confidante and also a kind of deputy. “She was involved in every detail of Epstein’s life,” Pomerantz told the jury.
On Tuesday (December 7th, 2021) the public prosecutor’s office published several text documents that had been discovered on hard drives in Epstein’s property, some of them by a user named “gmax”. FBI analyst Stephen Flatley read from one of these October 2002 documents in the courtroom.

“Jeffrey and Ghislaine were a couple for eleven years,” it says. “Contrary to what many people think, they are seldom apart. […] Jeffrey and Ghislaine have a lot of common interests and they have a lot of fun together. They both have a keen and curious mind. ”In conclusion,“ Jeffrey and Ghislaine complement each other really well and I can’t imagine one without the other. They are great partners and also best friends. “
“Carolyn,” the third alleged victim to testify against Ghislaine Maxwell, claimed under cross-examination that she saw a photo in Epstein’s mansion showing Ghislaine “naked and pregnant”. So far it was not known that Ghislaine Maxwell should have been mother or pregnant.
Maxwell told the girls how Epstein likes his massages best. Sexual acts almost always occurred during these. The witness “Kate” confirmed this in court on Monday. It is unclear whether Ghislaine Maxwell would like to testify in the process herself. She pleads not guilty. (lrg)
