Give your pets a taste of the RV lifestyle with pet trailers

RVers and dogs go together like peanut butter and jelly. RVers are outgoing, adventurous, and love to share their adventures with others, even if the other is four-legged. If you are looking for something that can combine your love for RVing with your love for your furry friend then look no further, I think we’ve found the perfect keepsake for you or a gift for your favorite RVer. Let’s take a look at Straight Line Designs pet trailers.

About straight line designs

Straight Line Designs Inc. is the company of industrial designer Judson Beaumont. Beaumont was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, in 1960. He studied art at Capilano College and completed his studies in 3D design at the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in 1985, forming Straight Line Designs in the same year.

Beaumont sees her inspiration as getting people to question the objects around them.

“A person must dare to move away from the tried and true to give energy and interest to a piece. Being influenced and inspired by the norm, and then challenging it, changing it, melting it, stretching it, altering it for the better.

Those words are straight from Beaumont himself, describing what he’s aiming for.

About pet trailers

One of Beaumont’s creations that has received much love from RVers and art lovers alike is their pet trailers that can be viewed on the Beaumont website. There are currently seven models available to view on the Beaumont website. All current parts are modeled after various travel trailers from around the RV world.

Some trailers are designed to look like Airstream mini trailers and we can’t help but notice that one trailer has many similarities to the Vintage Shasta two-tone trailer. It’s obvious that Beaumont has spent a lot of time in the VR world or is close to a bunch of RVers.

The level of detail used by Beaumont coupled with practical applications make pet trailers unique. Even the front of the trailers are modeled to look like small propane tanks, but it serves a more practical purpose by acting as a pet’s food and water container, while the inside of the trailer provides a natural shelter for your pet. Escape to your own private world or catch some Zs.

Other features can include interior lighting, personalized license plates, and more. There are currently seven designs listed on the website with funny and pet related names like Dog Gone and GRRRRRR. It is not known whether the wheels on small travel trailers are more functional or decorative.

Beaumont pet trailers are on the smaller side, making them a great getaway for your Shih Tzu or Miniature Schnauzer, but it doesn’t seem like there are too many options for pet trailers that can accommodate any breed larger than a toy breed.

Currently, Straight Line Designs does not provide an area of the website where you can buy pet trailers, but the website does have an area where you can contact Straight Line and Beaumont to start making your own pet trailer. Custom pet trailers start at around $ 800.

The way we see it, anything that can unite our love of dogs and travel trailers is fine in our book. Be sure to visit the Straight Line Design website to take a look at all the different pet trailer options. If you have a small dog who loves to travel with you, these little trailers might be perfect.
