A bit of sprinkling rain or snow pebbles are possible, but in principle a high pressure area will determine the weather in the coming days. It gets warmest in the north.
Offenbach – After inconsistent weather marked by significant temperature fluctuations, the meteorologists of the German Weather Service (DWD) expect more stability in the coming days.
The high “Carlos” over Western Europe ensures that, it said on Thursday. Thanks to this high pressure area, only weak foothills of the Atlantic lows touch the northern half of Germany. There could be a bit of drizzle or snow pebbles from time to time, but slippery nights are not to be expected. Caution should only be exercised in the northern low mountain range. The highest are the temperatures on Friday with two to nine degrees in the north.
According to the DWD, “Carlos” ensures calm winter weather in the southern half of Germany, with a juxtaposition of high fog, fog and sunshine. The sun is particularly evident in the mountains, while it is foggy in the lowlands. The temperatures are only just above freezing point. In the nights, however, frost is to be expected, which in the Alps can also be below minus ten degrees locally.
Even on the weekend, the temperatures in the north are likely to reach highs of two to eight degrees. In the mountains and on the Baltic Sea, the wind can reach the strength of gusts of wind. According to the information, temperatures rarely exceed one degree, especially in areas where there is fog. dpa
