St. Charles County, Missouri features several large holiday light displays, including festive night lights, sleigh rides, and lunch with Santa in Wentzville. Every year, visitors from all over the area enjoy the festive lights and colorful scenes at Rotary Park.

Wentzville Holiday Night Lights

The annual Wentzville Holiday Night Lights display in Rotary Park opens Friday, November 23 for the holiday season. Top attractions include a mile-long light display featuring large illuminated scenes and tunnels of twinkling colored lights. Entry by car costs $ 8 for vehicles with capacity for six passengers; $ 1 per additional person after the sixth.

When to go

Holiday Night Lights opens after Thanksgiving and closes in late December. In 2018, the display light switch will be activated on November 23. It will be open from Thursday to Sunday nights until December 9 and from December 10, it will be open every night until December 30. Christmas day.

Santa and more

Holiday Night Lights is a vehicle show with over a mile of holiday scenes in Rotary Park. If you go on a Saturday night, your kids can visit Santa at the Kolb building, where there are also trees decorated by a variety of local entities. Starting November 26, you can book a winter tractor-drawn hay ride during Rotary Park to tour the Christmas Holiday Lights. You’ll sip hot chocolate, eat hot cookies, and listen to festive music around a bonfire followed by the sleigh ride (which accommodates 25 people). Tours are available on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6 pm, 6:45 pm, 7:30 pm, 8:15 pm and 9 pm Tours are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. You can also prepay for an additional lap around the park with your group for an additional $ 25.

What you will see

As you drive through the park, you will see hundreds of thousands of lights that stretch for more than a mile. There are festive scenes, decorated trees, illuminated tunnels, and other bright displays for the whole family to enjoy. If you go later in the month, you can even watch the screen while there’s sparkling snow on the ground, adding to the festive cheer of the holidays.

How to get there

Holiday Night Lights is located in Rotary Park in Wentzville, 45 miles west of downtown St. Louis. To get to Wentzville from St. Louis, take Interstate 64 / USHighway 40 west to Interstate 70. Take Exit 208 toward Wentzville Parkway. Merge onto Wentzville Parkway for about a mile, then turn left onto West Meyer Road. Rotary Park is at 2577 West Meyer Road.
