Accessing your work computer from home is more complicated than accessing your home computer from another computer. This is because most companies have security measures in place to prevent anyone from accessing your information from outside the company. VPN configuration
Many companies require permission to access the VPN. Call your ICT department, contact your supervisor or visit the company’s website to request access. Additionally, you may need to provide your username and password to request access.
Afterwards, you will have to install the VPN software on your work computer so that you can work from home. Connect to the VPN

Enable remote desktop

In addition, you will have to write the full name of your work computer, since you will need it later when you connect from home. The name of your computer should easily appear on the screen.

Download the VPN software on your home computer
You will have to download the VPN on your home computer just as you did on your work computer. The process is usually self-guided, so you only have to follow the instructions. However, if you have problems, you may need to bring your computer to the office to configure the software. Once you have it installed you will have to open the software. You may need to enter both your username and password.
After these steps you will be able to access the remote desktop through the VPN. If you are using Windows, search for ‘start’, ‘accessories’, ‘communications’, ‘remote desktop’.
