- We open the WhatsApp application and select “Settings.”

- WhatsApp warns us of the following: «Your QR code is private. If you share it with someone, that person can scan it with the WhatsApp camera to add you as a contact » .
Now, there is something we must be careful about. If someone takes a photo of our QR code and shares it, all those who scan it will have our contact and can add us to WhatsApp.
If what we want is to add another person without having their phone number , right next to “My code” is the “Scan code” tab. We click on it and the camera automatically appears so that we can take a photo of the other person’s QR code.
