Whether you are entering the fascinating world of YouTube , or if some time ago you created an account and a channel on the popular video platform, which in the end you ended up leaving forgotten, it is normal that, if you have now decided to resume them again, you prefer to carry out some basic changes: modify the channel name, customize the background of the header … and change the profile image .
We must remember that, although the account we use on YouTube is absolutely the same that we use on Google for all the services offered by the company, if we have created a brand account to have a YouTube channel one hundred percent independent of, for example , our personal user account, we can modify the profile image of that specific channel without affecting our personal profile.
And what is even better: it is possible to do it both from the web browser and through the application.
Changing the profile picture on YouTube through the browser
If you use YouTube on your desktop or laptop computer (regardless of whether it is Windows or Mac), you must go to the official YouTube website from your favorite browser.
Then, we click on the profile photo of the YouTube channel that we want to modify, which we will find located in the upper right corner of the screen. Click on My channel and then click on the profile photo and touch the Edit button.
We choose the image that we would like to use as a profile photo , or we select the Upload photo option to choose a photograph stored on the computer.
Changing the profile picture on YouTube through the app
If instead of the web browser you are in the habit of using YouTube through the app , it is also possible to easily change the profile image.
To do this, we open the YouTube application and log into the account where we want to modify the profile image. Click on our profile photo , which we find located in the upper right corner, and click Manage your Google account .
Now, we click on our profile photo , we touch Set profile photo , and then we have two options available: Take photo or Choose photo . We simply choose the option that interests us the most, select the image and touch the check mark; or, we choose an image stored on the device. To finish, click on OK .
