How to find a fax number

A fax is capable of sending documents electronically over a telephone line. Therefore, if you are looking for the fax number of a specific company, you will have to go to the company’s website or call the company directly. Also, if you want to find out the number of your own fax, you can call from your fax to your mobile phone.

Conversely, if you already have the fax number but need to find out who sent you a fax, you can do a reverse search by typing the fax number into a search engine (such as Google). Either of these options will help you easily locate a fax number.

Locate business fax numbers

First, you will have to check the company’s website to see if the fax number appears. Normally it should appear in the ‘contact us’ section. However, not all companies include their fax number on the website. If it does not appear on the web, you can search for it on the Internet by typing the name of the company.

However, if the number does not appear on their website or on the Internet, it is best to contact the company directly to ask for the fax number. Most companies only include the phone number and email address in the ‘contact us’ section. Therefore, it is best that you call them directly to obtain the fax number. It’s the fastest way!

Find out who owns a fax number

To find out who owns a fax number, you must first find the phone number from which the fax was sent. On the printed page, look for a ten-digit phone number. You can also find the number on the fax display screen by selecting the ‘recent faxes’ option.

After this step, you will have to search a phone book to perform a reverse search. If possible, search the Internet for ‘phone book’ and study all the options. Filter based on which directories offer reverse phone number lookups.

Finally, you will have to add the fax number in the directory. When you access the directory website, look for the ‘reverse phone’ tab. Click on the tab, type the fax number in the search bar and press ‘enter’. The window that will appear will offer you relevant information related to that phone number, such as the name and address.
