How to get to Tanglewood

Tanglewood, New England’s most famous summer music venue, is located at 297 West Street (Route 183) in Lenox, Massachusetts.

From Boston , follow the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) west to Exit 2 (Lee-Lenox).

From New York City and New Jersey , head north on the Taconic State Parkway to the New York Thruway. Follow the Thruway Freeway east to Exit 2 on the Massachusetts Turnpike. Alternatively, take the Taconic State Parkway to 295 east to 41 south to Tanglewood.

From Connecticut, go north on I-91 to the Massachusetts Turnpike. Take the turnpike west to Exit 2.

Signs mark the route from Exit 2 to Tanglewood; The main entrance to the music center is 1.4 miles west of the Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street). From Turnpike Exit 2, turn right and follow US 20 West through Lee for approximately 4 miles. Turn left on MA Route 183 South. After a quarter mile, MA 183 merges with MA 7A North. Go two-tenths of a mile, and when MA 7A forks to the right, continue straight on MA 183 South for another mile. The main entrance to Tanglewood will be on the left.
