A 34-year-old has to answer for killing a 52-year-old. The men had quarreled over their dogs. The public prosecutor’s office demands nine years in prison.
Leipzig – In the process of the fatal dispute between two dog owners in Leipzig, the public prosecutor has demanded a prison sentence for murder.
Because the 34-year-old defendant is less responsible for a special form of depressive disorder, according to a psychiatric report, prosecutor Torsten Naumann pleaded on Tuesday in front of the Leipzig Regional Court for a prison sentence of nine years.
With the targeted and powerful blow with the knife in the temple of his victim, the accused accepted his death with approval, emphasized the prosecutor. He considered the murder characteristics of the insidiousness to be justified because the victim was innocent and defenseless. The act took place in front of the eyes of the 16-year-old son of the 52-year-old victim.
Victims and perpetrators, both Germans, went for a walk with their dogs on the morning of November 20. There was a first argument because the 52-year-old allegedly had not leashed his four-legged friend. Hours later, according to the prosecutor, the defendant went to look for his opponents and discovered them in the same area in the evening. “With the words” Now I have you “, he rushed towards her and pushed the man with one hand and stabbed him in the head with the other hand,” explained Naumann. Five days after the attack, the family man died from severe head injuries.
The defendant himself had stated during the proceedings that he stabbed the victim in self-defense because he was suddenly attacked by father and son. This version had not been refuted in the evidence, emphasized the 34-year-old’s defender. In addition, after the first dispute, her client has demonstrably sought inpatient psychiatric help and not primarily forged plans for revenge. She pleaded for acquittal.
The verdict should be announced on Tuesday evening. dpa
