Guide Review – The Irish Heather

Owned by Sean Heather, co-owner of Gastown’s Salt and Judas Goat, the Irish Heather and its local neighbors, Salty Tongue and The Shebeen Whisk (e) and House, combine to make one of Gastown’s most gastronomic venues. popular places to eat and drink. They are also home to the popular Long Table community dinner series.

Modeled after authentic Irish GastroPubs, the Irish Heather is the perfect place to have a Guinness, hang out with friends and soak up the distinctive character of Vancouver’s historic Gastown district. Whiskey lovers will love the Shebeen back room, where you’ll find the largest selection of Single Malt, Bourbon, Rye, Scotch and Irish whiskeys in Vancouver. For food, the lunch and dinner menus are filled with tasty pub favorites, including hot dogs (hot dogs), fish and chips, and the Guinness Heather Pot Pie meatloaf.

But the real option for dinner is the Long Table series, an all-inclusive dinner series Р$ 18 includes an entr̩e and a complimentary craft beer or non-alcoholic beverage, which take place each night at the 40-foot community dinner. table on the adjacent salty tongue.

I love the Long Table (LTS) series. Not only do you get great value for money – dinner and a beer for $ 18 are a great deal, the food is always delicious, and it’s a unique community dining experience where your food partners want to chat and are there, partly because of the social aspect. There aren’t many places in Vancouver where meeting new people is that easy!

Getting into the LTS is a bit unusual – you have to make reservations in advance by email. Dinners can be sold out weeks in advance, so please email well in advance when you want to attend.
