  • 1. First of all, you have to open the official website of the European Union and select “German” as the language in the top right corner.
  • 2. Then it is necessary to create an account: To do this, click on “Login” in the top right corner. In order to be able to register, you have to enter your e-mail address and a personal password. Then you can click on “Register”. You will then receive a confirmation email in your mailbox containing a link. You have to click on this to complete the registration.
  • 3. Logged into the start page, you can now select “Start” and then click on “Italy / IT”.

  • 5. In the next step, the portal shows you a data protection notice – despite the preset German language, only in Italian or English.
  • 6. Then you have to provide some additional personal data. In this context, the EU points out that all information at this point must be truthful.

Italy vacation despite Corona: further certificate required for entry

In addition to the passenger localization form (dPLF), another certificate is required to enter Italy: the digital COVID certificate of the European Union. It tells you whether you have been vaccinated against the coronavirus, have recovered from it or have tested negative for it. Alternatively, it is also possible to show your vaccination certificate in digital form, for example in the CovPass app.
