Keanu Reeves and Dwayne Johnson will appear together as superheroes in the latest DC comics production. Well, more than they will their voices, because this is the story of The League of Super-Pets. A furry, childish review of Justice League, led by Superman’s dog, who must stop crime along with other pets while his owner is on vacation. For Revees, it is the first collaboration with DC, but recently we saw The Rock, very excited, posting on Instagram photos of the filming of the antihero he will play, Black Adam.
Once again the news has been released by Johnson himself through his social networks with a teaser in which you can see Superman’s dog, Krypto (who he voices) taking flight with the iconic music of the movie of Richard Donner in the background. The actor posted the following message in the post: “ Ladies and gentlemen and children of all ages, it’s my pleasure to introduce our all-star cast @DCSuperPets . Fun for you and your family around the world, The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change #SUPERPETS ”.
Apart from noting that Keanu Reeves and Dwayne Johnson will participate in the film, the teaser shows a whole cast of great stars who will put their voices to these animals: John Krasinski (A quiet place) Natasha Lyonne (Orange is the new black), Diego Luna (Rogue One) and Vanessa Bayer and Kate McKinnon from the sitcom Saturday Night Live. In the post and teaser, Johnson in turn announced that his great friend Kevin Hart would provide the voice of a very special ally for the League of Super-pets, Ace the Bat-hound from Batman.
The film is directed by Jared Stern and Sam Levine , both of whom have little directing experience but Stern (who also signs the script with John Whittington) has written funny scripts such as Batman: The Lego Movie and The Interns on his resume. . The story of these pets who take care of the planet while their owners rest from saving the world will presumably hit theaters on May 20, 2022.
