Lisbon Gay Pride 2016 – Portugal Gay Pride 2016 – Lisbon Bear Pride 2016

Among the largest metropolitan regions in Europe, Lisbon is the capital of Portugal, which has constantly developed a reputation as a center of gay friendship and tolerance: in 2010, Portugal legalized same-sex marriage. At the end of June, GLBT people from all over Portugal come to the capital for Gay Pride Lisbon. This year’s date for the Lisbon Pride Parade (Marcha do Orgulho LGBT) is Saturday June 18, 2016, starting at 5 pm, at Jardim do Principe Real.

Then the following weekend, Saturday June 25, from 4 pm to 4 am, the Lisbon Pride Village (Arraial Lisboa Pride) is the place for gay bars, entertainment, and more.

A few weeks earlier, at the end of May, the city also celebrates the Lisbon Bear Pride, a six-day event organized by the TR3S Lisbon bear bar. The festivities include dance parties, bar nights, pool and sauna, contests and more. This year’s dates are May 25-30, 2016.
