Los Angeles Changes Famous Hollywood Sign – Here's Why

This week, something other than “Hollywood” is written on the famous hills above Los Angeles. The reason: The city celebrates the victory of a football team.

Los Angeles – The winner of the Super Bowl 2022 in the USA is certain: The Los Angeles Rams (LA Rams or also called Rams) won against the Cincinnati Bengals in their own stadium in Los Angeles on Monday (February 14th, 2022).

The Super Bowl final was also broadcast live on TV. After the victory, the city of Los Angeles is celebrating its football team with a special gesture: From Monday (02/14/2022) to Wednesday (02/16/2022) the famous Hollywood lettering will be changed to mark the Super Bowl victory.

The lettering on the Hollywood Hills will be temporarily changed to Rams House. The occasion is the LA Rams’ victory at the Super Bowl 2022.

Los Angeles: Instead of “Hollywood” is “Rams House” on the Hollywood hills

Instead of the lettering “Hollywood”, “Rams House” should then appear in large letters on the famous Hollywood hills. “What a day for Los Angeles, the Rams are Super Bowl champions,” said Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti of the campaign.

“This city has the best team and fans in the world, and we can’t wait to show our pride with a mark that only Hollywood can provide,” the Democratic Party politician added. The lettering has been around since 1923. Before that, the lettering was longer and it said “Hollywoodland” on the hills of the Los Angeles area known for its film studios and Walk of Fame. The “land” has been degraded over the years. The letters have been renewed again and again over the past 100 years. (df)
