In a clothing store in Munich, a man attacks a ten-year-old boy with a knife. The boy has to be hospitalized with serious injuries.
Munich – After the attack on a ten-year-old in downtown Munich, the police are investigating a 57-year-old suspect for an attempted homicide.
The man injured the boy on Saturday evening in a clothing store with a kitchen knife on the neck and shoulder, the police said on Sunday.
Witnesses overwhelmed the 57-year-old and provided first aid to the child. The boy was hospitalized with serious injuries. According to the officials, there is no mortal danger. Witnesses were looked after by a crisis intervention team. About 50 police officers were on duty.
The 57-year-old was arrested on site. He is to be brought before a judge on Sunday. dpa
