Mariana Sanz is the new CEO of the Edelman agency for Latin America

Mariana Sanz becomes the new CEO of Edelman in Latin America, being the first Mexican woman to assume the position at the regional level. The executive, who since 2015 is the general director of the communication agency in Mexico, will combine both responsibilities.

Under the leadership of the Mexican executive, the local Edelman subsidiary in 2020 became the first public relations agency to win an award at the Círculo de Oro creativity festival for its ‘Veladora KFC’ campaign, with which it achieved a metal gold in the Direct Marketing category.

It is also the first in its field to be recognized as one of the most innovative firms in the special.

With this new appointment, the Mexican executive will replace Allan McCrea Steele, who in addition to leading the subsidiary of the communication agency in Argentina, will now be in charge of expanding the business in the region.

Under McCrea’s leadership, Edelman’s operations, revenue, and geographic footprint grew significantly in Latin America. “With more than 25 years of experience, Allan is the one to fulfill our regional growth strategy,” said Lisa Kimmel.
