Rain, squalls and fresh temperatures: the May weather has so far not given rise to any spring fever. In the coming week there is even a risk of local frost.
Offenbach (dpa) – sweaters and rain jackets are advisable in the next few days – the weather still does not allow a real spring mood to arise.
After a changeable Monday, storm “Eugen” determines the weather in Germany from Tuesday and brings rain, squalls, showers and thunderstorms with it. Sometimes even hurricane gusts are possible, as announced by the German Weather Service (DWD) based in Offenbach.
The maximum values are 11 to 15 degrees, only in the southeast of Bavaria it can get another 19 degrees. On Wednesday the windy and showers continued, it was only 8 to 14 degrees warm. At night there is even a local risk of frost.
It should remain changeable until Friday, said the DWD meteorologist Sebastian Altnau.
