After a year off, the "Miss Universe" was chosen again in the USA. The proud winner comes from Central America.
Florida (AP) – A Mexican woman has been crowned the new "Miss Universe". The 26-year-old Andrea Meza from Chihuahua won the title on Sunday evening (local time) in the US state of Florida, as the competition announced.
Meza wants to be committed to women's rights and against gender-based violence. Her predecessor Zozibini Tunzi from South Africa, who won the competition in 2019, put her crown on her. "To wear the crown of Miss Universe is a dream come true," Andrea Meza was quoted as saying. It was the 69th Miss election. Applicants from 74 countries entered this year, it was said.
