The police in Aschersleben had been looking for a missing 14-year-old for days. Now the girl’s body has been discovered in a garage yard. The investigators assume a crime.
Aschersleben – Less than a week after she disappeared, a 14-year-old was found dead in Aschersleben (Saxony-Anhalt). After an initial assessment, the police assume a crime.
The investigation into the perpetrator or perpetrators was in full swing, the Magdeburg police station announced on Wednesday. The 14-year-old’s body was discovered in a garage complex in the afternoon.
The girl had been missing since Thursday last week. On that day, she had wanted to meet her ex-boyfriend to hand over personal items. Her parents later reported her missing.
The police announced that they would not initially want to make any further statements on the facts in order not to endanger the investigation. “Everything is open,” said spokeswoman Ilona Wessner. The meeting point with the ex-boyfriend and the location of the corpse were relatively far apart. It is not yet clear whether the 14-year-old has met other people. The ex-boyfriend had already been questioned as part of the missing person search.
According to Wessner, the police cordoned off the location of the body over a wide area. The crime scene group was on site to secure traces in the garage yard. The operation will probably last the whole night.
A similar crime had occurred in neighboring Saxony in mid-September. A 16-year-old was so badly injured in a garage that she died. A 15-year-old was identified as the suspect. The teenager was placed in a mental hospital. dpa
