Monark, the RPG of the former Atlus members, shows its first trailer and confirms its launch for 2022 in the West

Yesterday we were able to confirm the first details about Monark , the school RPG of former Atlus employees. The proposal is quite similar to what we can find in sagas like Persona or Shin Megami Tensei, so the followers of both franchises do not need more reasons to be attentive.

Now, we have learned that NIS America will release Monark on PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in early 2022 in the West . It will feature voice-overs in both English and Japanese and it will be in Asian territory where it will be released earlier, on October 14. Here you have the first trailer.

Thanks to the description of your page on Steam, we have been able to learn more about the plot that awaits us

“How far will you go to save your loved ones? Can you stand up to the threats around you? Can you stand up to yourself? Your world plunges into madness as the mysterious and deadly Mist surrounds Shin Mikado Academy. To save to your friends, you enter the Otherworld, a dimension full of demons beyond the real world.

Within this enigmatic realm, you must learn to harness your Vanity Authority and conjure a battalion of Demons, whose power comes from the Ego of their master. Develop your Ego through various psychological tests to enhance the power of your Demons and lead your forces into battle to fight with and against the seven “Pact Bearers” who are corrupting the academy. “

As you can read, there will be jumps between the real world and another dimension, in which we can call on our allies to fight and unravel all the mysteries. The visual style is really striking and we will have to control our Ego system to strengthen ourselves and thus unlock different demons to command in battle.
