Álvaro Morata assumed the responsibility of throwing the maximum penalty after Gerard Moreno also missed one in the clash against Poland . The Juventus forward shot to his left side and the Slovakian goalkeeper guessed his intentions by stopping him.
It was the 10th minute of the game when Hromada knocked down Koke inside the area. The referee of the match, the Dutchman Björn Kuipers , did not see anything, but after a few minutes of review they warned him from the VAR room to go to the monitor to see the action. There were no doubts and the referee had to rectify his first decision and point out the cal point because the infraction was flagrant.

This failure joins the long list of errors that Morata has made throughout this European Championship in which Spain has lacked a goal.
