New image of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake in "Uncharted"

The film that adapts the famous Uncharted video game is currently in post-production. This adventure, yes, will be a prequel to the original story, since the main character of the story Nathan Drake in the first installment of the video game is in his thirties and Holland still has a too adolescent appearance compared to the initial role. In the main cast he is joined by Mark Wahlberg who plays Victor Sullivan, the somewhat tricky and rogue mentor of the treasure hunter. Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg in “Uncharted” (Sony) One of the advantages found in the production of this adaptation is that Uncharted is surely the most film-influenced video game in history, since Nathan Drake does not stop be a kind of Indiana Jones updated to our time. The film is scheduled to premiere in February 2022 and the information and material that the production company offers could be counted on the fingers of one hand. But Sony Pictures recently wanted to show a new image in which we can take a look at Tom Holland as Nathan Drake, accompanied by Mark Wahlber and his character Sullivan. Video game adaptations in the cinema The industry does not stop working on adaptations that manage to attract a young audience to theaters. If the adaptations of dystopian best-selling sagas seem a guarantee of profitability, video games in the cinema also tend to generate good results, however their quality often leaves much to be desired.Recent adaptations such as Assasin’s Creed and Tomb Raider did not get good reviews, however Uncharted remains hopeful thanks to its cast and the smart decision to make Tom Holland’s Nathan Drake film an origin story. falls in charge of the director of Venom, Ruben Fleisher and with a story adapted by Art Marcum, Matt Holloway and Rafe Judkins, regulars of various Marvel stories such as the script for the first Iron man or the Shield series. The villain of this story is Antonio Banderas and the cast is completed with Tati Gabrielle, Sarah Petrick, Sophia Ali and Patricia Meeden. Will Uncharted add to the list of other failures in video game adaptations or will it mark a before and after with a quality title?
