Nicolas Cage's latest craze in “Pig”: Where's my pig?

Nicolas Cage’s ability to generate a whole series of memes is priceless. One, he hardly remembers when he was a regular in the action cinema of the late 90s with films such as Face to face , The Rock or Con air or when his acting side was in full swing, thanks to the Oscar for best actor that he received in 1995 by Leaving Las Vegas . Since his accountant left with all his money, leaving him an astronomical debt, Coppola’s nephew has had to take on a host of nefarious projects . Far too are his associations with great directors such as the Coen brothers in Arizona baby or Wild Heart , David Lynch’s road movie. Now the vast majority of its premieres go direct to the domestic market in Spain. Although this would be something that would condemn anyone to media ostracism, around Cage an aura of eccentricism and humor has been generated that the public welcomes with affection and a certain fanaticism. But what is the latest madness of Nicolas Cage? Star in a movie where you have to find your kidnapped pig.

In Pig’s trailer, the actor plays a lonely truffle and mushroom picker from Oregon. He lives with his pig, which he uses to find them. One day when he goes out into the forest with the animal, someone takes him away. Cage’s character will travel heaven and earth to find the person who has stolen his precious animal and take revenge on her.

Pig is then presented as a kind of John Wick , although we go from the wild action, to the emotional and economic drama that involves its protagonist losing the animal in charge of finding the so valuable truffles (50 grams of truffle are around 90 euros in the market ). Nicolas Cage’s Last Craze will be directed by Michael Sarnoski , who directed the Olympia series and which opens with this film on the feature film scene. The rest of the main cast include Alex Wolff ( Hereditary , Jumanji ), Adam Arkin ( How to defend a murderer ) and Gretchen Corben ( Curse of the Bishop ). The film will be released in the United States on July 16 and in Spain, as is customary with Cage tapes, it still has no release date.
