With the launch of the Formentor, the first 100% Cupra model, all those who were looking for high-performance power and sporty ingenuity found their future mount. After the success, Cupra dared to go even further with the VZ5, a true tribute for motor lovers, with a limited edition of 7,000 units . With this model, exclusivity was already guaranteed, but now it has decided that 999 units of those 7,000 are truly unique. With an advanced and configurable chassis, it is the Formentor VZ5 Taiga Grey, a racing car that hides the iconic five-cylinder 2.5 TSI engine under the hood that delivers 390 hp and 480 Nm. A power that allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h (electronically limited). Plus, it features a revolutionary dual-clutch transmission for smoother, faster shifts and 4Drive technology for responsive grip and agility in all conditions.
Imposing for its design, since a car always enters through the eyes, it stands out for its elongated front end, the prominent wheel arches, the aggressiveness of the logo and its many details. But in this case, the image of these units, already in production in Martorell, is intensified with the new Matrix LED headlights as standard (optional in the rest of the range) which, thanks to their advanced technology, offer more powerful lighting , effective and efficient. Making use of the front camera, this lighting system can dynamically distribute the light beam. Specifically, the combination of this matrix lighting with automatic ignition even allows driving with the high beams (long) activated at all times, since they do not dazzle other road users.
This limited edition will be launched in an exclusive Taiga Gray color for these units only, a mark of distinction that enhances the exterior design. And every Formentor VZ5 Taiga Gray will feature the unit number laser etched into the door panel, with a distinctive crosshatch effect. Read on in the gallery!
