Opel presents the Crosscamp Flex, a spacious 100% electric camper

The Opel Zafira-e Life is the ideal vehicle for all those who want not only more space and flexibility, but also electric mobility, even on a weekend trip to the countryside or camping. This model supports up to 9 people in its largest configuration and has the DGT Zero badge, with just over 300 kilometers of real autonomy.

Now, the spacious 100% electric van from the German brand will be exhibited at the Düsseldorf Caravan Show 2022, which will be held from August 26 to September 4. Not only at stand D42 in hall 16, but also in its 100% electric Crosscamp Flex version in the ‘outdoor arena’, where Crosscamp’s Camper transformation specialists will present the prototype of an electric Crosscamp Flex based on the Zafira-e Life. A vehicle that combines the great practicality and flexibility of the Opel van with the will of an emission-free camper.

The lithium-ion traction battery with a capacity of 75 kWh (located under the floor of the bodywork to save space), allows undertaking long trips, with a range of up to 330 kilometers (range determined according to the procedure methodology WLTP test ) . Loading is as easy as driving; either through a wall charger, fast charging or even a cable for household outlets. With a charging power of 100 kW with direct current (DC), the battery reaches 80% of its maximum level in about 45 minutes. To reserve power from the traction battery for driving , a 95 Ah on-board auxiliary battery provides electricity for lighting, a fridge and the USB socket for charging other items such as smartphones or cameras.

As in all Crosscamps, the 100% electric Crosscamp Flex has everything you need for a trip with all the comforts . Its practical equipment includes front seats that rotate 180 degrees, a kitchen unit with sink, gas stove and built-in cabinets, as well as containers for drinking water and waste water. Thanks to the rear seat, which quickly converts into a double bed, and two other beds under the raised roof, the Crosscamp Flex can accommodate four people.

All Crosscamp versions based on the Zafira-e Life benefit from the wide range of driver assistance systems that the Opel van offers as standard equipment. The list includes Forward Collision Alert, Emergency Braking, Driver Fatigue Alert, Lane Keeping Assist, and Traffic Sign Recognition with Semi-Adaptive Cruise Control.

The 100% electric Crosscamp Flex will join the versions of the Crosscamp with diesel mechanics in 2023. Subsequently, the brand also plans to offer the camper as the Crosscamp Lite. The availability of the 100% electric Crosscamp Flex version in the Spanish market will be communicated later.
